French Inset Panel Glass Antique Door

Our antique doors have been salvaged from old homes and buildings, and most will require some preparation before they are ready to hang in their new home. This is a normal part of working with antique doors and allows them to be fitted specifically to your opening.

Unless otherwise noted, our doors are sold as slabs and are not prehung. Depending on the door and its intended use, your carpenter or millwork shop may need to square the door, make minor adjustments, and fit it into a new jamb. Most experienced trim carpenters and door shops can handle this work.

Depending on the door, additional work may include:

• Replacing damaged or missing glass (our doors are sold with the assumption that the glass may not be in usable condition. If the glass is damaged it will be removed before shipping)
• Patching holes or mortises from previous hardware
• Making minor wood repairs
• Joining two doors to create a pair
• Joining a pair to create a single door
• Trimming or making minor size adjustments
• Installing new or antique hardware
• Sanding, painting, sealing, or refinishing
